The mantras, traditional raags and devotional chants of Sidak & Sampuran's debut album Sacred Sounds are "innertainment" and meditation. They move the emotions and inspire inner communication between mind and soul.
The album is presented by the Naad Yoga Council , supported by the Raj Academy Conservatoire and Professor Surinder Singh . The sung classical Raags, specific moods that are expressed through certain melody structures, are accompanied with traditional Indian string and percussion instruments.

Sidak Kaur Khalsa (Germany) and Sampuran Kaur (Spain) touch hearts with their clear and expressive voices. Sacred Sounds begins with a meditation on the Beej (seed) mantra: EK ONG KAR , accompanied by instruments in the mood of the Raag Ramkali .
The emotions in Ramkali are like those of a wise teacher disciplining his students. The student is aware of the pain of learning but knows that it is ultimately for the best. In this way, Ramkali conveys the shift from everything we know to something we are sure will be better. It is the Raag of the yogis!

Other Mantras, Shabds and Raags heard on the album:

Gur Merai Sang - Raag Asa:
Raag Asa inspires and encourages the mind to persevere and achieve its set goals. He gives the listener the strength, determination and ambition to put aside any excuses and obstacles and do whatever is necessary to reach the goal. The determined nature of this Raag eliminates the option of failure and guarantees success.

Mool Mantra - Raag Parbathi:
The emotion conveyed in Raag Parbathi is extreme devotion and reflects intense feelings of trust and love towards the object of devotion. This love springs from knowledge, reason, and detailed study, out of which comes an understanding and a deliberate will to give oneself fully.

Har Ek Simar - Raag Dhanasri:
Listening to Raag Dhanasri boosts your confidence and lets you let go of your fears and worries. It assures you that all is well, that all your needs are taken care of, there is nothing to be afraid of.

Tu Hee Tu Sat Kartar- Raag Sorath:
Sorath conveys the feeling of having such a strong belief in something that you want to repeat the experience over and over again. In fact, this sense of security is so strong that one becomes faith oneself and begins to live the faith. The Sorath's atmosphere is so powerful that it eventually attracts people who don't seem to react to anything else.

Rakhay Rakhanahair - Raag Goojri:
Imagine you have landed in a desert, your hands are full of water, you have no idea how far away your destination is, the water is slowly dripping out of your hands. This situation will make you realize how time is running out. Whatever you want to do in your life, whatever you want to achieve, whatever your purpose in this life is, don't wait for tomorrow, start now. This awareness is awakened in the listener by Raag Goojri.

Sat (e) Naam (u) Vaheguroo - Raag Sarang:
This Raag has a calming character. It cools the mind and its burning desires by admitting the true and pure thoughts of the soul - a relaxing and fulfilling mind shift.
