I am a Kundalini yoga teacher and musician, my instruments are classical guitar and flute. With my melodies, my concern is to give the powerful mantras a simple musical framework that enables us to immerse ourselves in the sound current. The words are essential, the instruments can support. It is always "dangerous" to take these mantras out of their cultural and musical context. I hope to give our western mind access to the power of mantras through the catchy melodies. If it works and these versions help us get to the essence of each vibration, take it into our heart and uplift us, then I think they are justified. My music is definitely designed for meditation and is not intended to be easy listening, it takes a little perseverance and alignment to be able to engage in this experience, because only those who give can receive something.
