Yogi Bhajan instructed Gurushabd to put to music and record the verses of Jaap Sahib (Sikh Morning Prayer), beginning with Ajai Alai. Gurushabd released the CD during the summer of 2001, just before September 11th, and Yogi Bhajan commented to him at that time that “This world is in a lot of pain….people are going crazy and these Jaap Sahib Chands (verses) are the tool to help them out of their depression and anger. This is what is required NOW. We need to penetrate the hearts of everyone so they can feel hope and love again.” Used exclusively during the ‘Master’s Touch’ course in Espanola, this CD includes vocal accompaniment by Nirinjan Kaur, whose penetrating and sweet voice enhances the effectiveness of this mantra.
