Conversations with Chiron Gong - Mark Swan

The Chiron gong has a frequency of 151.27 Hz and is tuned to D#. The Chiron Gong is manufactured by Paiste in Germany and has long been recognized as the gong for healers. Its precisely tuned frequency was established by Hans Cousto, author of The Cosmic Octave. To this day it remains one of the most powerful shamanic tools in the field of sacred sound instruments and is the gong of choice for initiation, healing and transformation.

Discovered in 1977, Chiron orbits between Saturn and Uranus and has an approximate diameter of only 180 km. It has been classified as both a comet and a minor planet and has also been included in astrological charts. Its eclectic orbit and idiosyncratic demeanor aptly reflect its eccentric healing abilities.

Each planetary gong affects a specific chakra and physical region. Chiron works on the Throat Chakra as well as the Third Eye. In his unconventional way, he works especially on our deepest wounds. When we search for the cause of imbalance and pain, Chiron finds a way through, sometimes within an existing relationship or through one of our talents.
