Nectar of the Name - Sat Purkh Kaur complete

Sat Purkh's voice will win you over from the first note. Her Gurmukhi songs combine traditional melodies and instruments with western compositions and rhythms. The wonderful use of different instruments creates a unique style of music.

Already the title track, Nectar of the Name, is an amazing choral experiment in calling out all the names of God from all faiths. This track consists almost entirely of voices, which unite with each other in a union of all directions of faith, to finally find themselves in a single, beautiful sound.

This album's grand finale, Guru Dev, is an energetic, Latino-tinged chant featuring an incredible Spanish flute and trumpet, accompanied by a variety of world music drums. These make it difficult to end this ecstatic experience.
